Photocopy and collage of the 29 January 1845 Evening Mirror printing of "The Raven." This printing is the first printing of the poem, which appeared in advance of the first publication of the poem in The American Review (as stated in the editor's foreword to the printing). The portion of the collage stating "THE AMERICAN REVIEW | February, 1845 | INITIAL MAGAZINE PUBLICATION OF THE RAVEN" has been clipped from The Muse Anthology: Edgar A. Poe Memorial (1938). The "B" after Evening Mirror refers to Mabbott's alphabetical-chronological sequence of the poem's printings.
