Description
Manuscript note written on a recycled typescript note considering a variety of critical sources on "The Raven." Some highlights include Mabbott's consideration of Richard Wilbur's understanding of Poe's use of the word "nameless" in "The Raven," as noted by Wilbur in his 1959 edition of Poe (this note does not make it into Mabbott's edition). See also Mabbott's response to Eliot's "From Poe to Valery" (1949), an essay that also goes unmentioned in his edition.
