Description
Typescript list of substantive variants in printings of Poe's "The Raven." Variants in lines 60 and 61 were added in pencil and carried over into the published edition. The variant in line 52 was changed to 51 in the published edition. The typescript does not show the variant of line 55, which appears in the published edition. Penciled-in variants from lines 68, 75, and 103 were not carried over to the edition because T.O. Mabbott decided that they were not substantive changes, as he states at the end of the published variant list.
